This new hotel surprised us with many features. One is received with pop music in the entrance area (not everyone’s cup of tea). The design is extravagant to flashy but all in all creative. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The hotel is definitely great for a ‘stop-over’ before or after a flight from (to) MUC. The reception with bar is open 24 hours. The room (we had a double room) was relatively small, but absolutely ok for a short stay. The price / performance ratio is ok. The area for breakfast is very varied. Many possibilities to pass the time including a ‘shuffle board. Negative point: The high parking fee of EUR 18 per day / night for an outside parking space. We came by car. The connection with public transport should be checked; The hotel is located in the middle of an industrial area, near the MUC airport. We had combined the hotel with a visit to the thermal baths in Erding. Everything fitted; we come wireder! . More
Had one night at the Moxy MUC. Late arrival before the flight the next day. No chance of parking. So I parked in front of the barrier! Still I paid 18 EU. Fitted modernity in the lobby-bar-snack with crazy music. I got a room on the first floor with powerful bass sound from the lobby bar snack bar! Call to reception not possible as no telephones are installed. So down and into a new room. 2nd hall TV def. Tired of going hiking again! So quickly make another tea. Doesn’t work, no stove! Nice people from low-wage countries, but certainly not skilled workers! Breakfast is ok and it’s clean! But 257 EU plus 18 euros = 275 EU for a youth hostel! ?? Really now!
Dear jochenk981, Thank you very much for your detailed feedback on your stay in our MOXY. As for your statement about parking, you parked in front of our barrier where parking is not allowed and where we have signs that say that parking leads to towing for safety reasons (e.g. fire brigade needs access to the building, meeting point in an emergency) . You were with us during the fair in Munich when all the hotels in the city are full and the prices are higher, so our parking lot was full too, but I’m afraid there is nothing we can do about it if you are not with that Book the parking space included in your reservation and arrive late. We think it’s lucky that you only had to pay 18eur to park in the parking lot that you had, and not 300eur to recover a vehicle that was removed! In fact, our rooms don’t have a kettle or phone in the room, it’s part of our concept. But hey our big bar is open 24/7 and our crew is always there to help Thank you for addressing our crew as nice people, we do our best to provide a memorable experience. We are also very proud of our international team – our crew members come from Great Britain, Slovenia, Italy, Brazil, Greece, Croatia, Germany, France, Yemen, the Philippines, … This diversity allows us to speak more languages and one To have a higher level of cultural awareness – which is very important to our international guest. Have fun and MfG.
If you are not suffering from a “stomach allergy”, the hotel is a good alternative near the airport. The color runs through the whole, alternatively furnished hotel. With a slightly different concept, it is aimed at slightly younger guests. The rooms are relatively small, convince but with a great lighting concept (“LED under the bed, LED under the closet – unfortunately great …” Deichkind has already sung). I think the possible use of the TV with AirPrint is very good.
Something different than normal. A really funky hotel, unusual, simply stylish. When we checked in, two young people greeted us with the words “All right with you, you had a good journey”. At first we looked a bit stupid, but we thought it was really great, not all that formal stuff in a hotel. Location & surrounding area About 8 minutes to the airport with the shuttle, the NH hotel is also approached. When picking up the shuttle was 15 minutes late, it can happen. Sufficiently large and everything was very clean, bathroom a little small, but everything was OK for one night. The parking lot is a good size and the way to the shuttle is short. Only the shuttle driver on the way back drove like a sunk in the sink … The breakfast is not really that screaming, rather low budget hotel moderately. But you don’t starve. In the evening there was pasta with sauce, it was ok. Otherwise there are various self-service counters, prices are ok. Sports & entertainment There are many different free games, billiards, shuffleboard, etc., really a great thing.
Before an early departure last December, we decided to stay at the Moxy the night before. The reason was primarily the very good price (less than 100 EUR), as well as the fact that it belongs to Starwood / Marriott and that we as loyalty members can collect points there. In addition, some of the long-term parking spaces are right next door. We had booked for 2 adults and 1 baby, and got a very spacious room with a sofa bed. Comfortable enough for one night. Lobby has a hip character, a mix of party and art, with games for young and old (table football, building blocks, memory, etc.). The restaurant / bar is basically self-service and is paid for directly at the reception / bar. Staff very friendly. The only disadvantage: There is no right of way directly in front of the hotel door, i.e. you have to park the car on the side, unload and walk back and forth. Shuttle to the airport is chargeable and carried out together with other hotels and parking. Time to the airport about 10 minutes. Shuttle runs every 30 minutes, reservations should be made in advance at peak times. Would definitely book there again.
